Gimme Five!

December 19th 2007 21:25
Whether it’s film, sport, politics, science, music, television – there are people out there who deserve (for whatever reason) to see their named on a list – any list!

Sure the net is cast wide – but so is life, which is why I’d love to hear who you would put on your Top 5 list for just about any specific category.

It could be Your Top 5 Dumbest Celebrities.

Your Top 5 Songs.

Your Top 5 Films.

Your Top 5 Fashion Disasters.

Your Top 5 TV shows.

In fact it could be just about anything.

Let’s face it – there’s a multitude of genre’s and probably more nominees for each award than we’d care to think about – but as we continue to lurch into the silly season – it would be interesting (if not amusing) to read your comments and check out your list.

Let's compare notes!

Bizan - a Japanese movie that kicked my ass with its brilliant portrayal of a mother-daughter relationship, and the stunning backdrop of a Japanese Festival

Javier Bardem - No Country For Old Men villain

Ike Turner - he was a bastard and a bully, but what a contribution to 60s and 70s soul!

Hot Fuzz - a fantastic homage to American buddy-cop movies, shot through a small English town.

2girls1cup - don't watch this. Ever.

Cibyy

I'll take your word (and millions of others) about the 2girls 1cup vid - though curiosity and that damn cat are terrible bedfellows.

Thanks for dropping by champ.

Hi MNG~

For 2007, the top 5 movies (that I've seen so far) are:

5. Well, I didn't really have a 5, because I only really liked 4 out of all the movies I've seen this year... but if I had to choose one, it'd have to be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - only because I liked Imelda Staunton.

4. Futurama - so much funnier than the Simpsons movie... too bad it only came out on dvd.

3. The Bourne Ultimatum - fabulous action flick.

2. Casino Royale -
Bartender: ... shaken or stirred?
Bond: Do I look like I care?

And the No. 1 is.... Day Watch. Loved this Russian fantasy.

Have a good one

Rusty.

I am far too... well you could say fickle I suppose... to put a top five of anything in concrete!

So here is today's list of unattainable men that I fancy:

Richard Armitage - So good I could cry, but I'm very unlikely to run into him.

Johnny Depp - I fear actually meeting him will destroy the fantasy if he is shorter than me.

Tom Long - I will not be a homewrecker. Must repeat this to myself when he offers to whisk me away.

Edward Rochester - Yes, the character, and thus VERY unattainable.

Elvis - For the afterlife.

I could not even attempt a top five of books, movies, authors, directors, etc, unless I narrowed the category down to almost nothing, ie: top five female authors in the the nineteenth century who died before fifty and wrote under a pseudonym.

So best leave it.

MNG, I'm going to start with movies .'07 ..

Bridge to Terabithia (comes to mind immediately), oh and ...

Casino Royal (bought back the faith in me) ...

Pirates 3 (woo hoo, don't care how dorky I look, I LOVED IT)... long awaited sequel.
...um... and there goes the menopausal moment (MM) again.. excuses, excuses that's the trouble with wine... can't remember another thing ... bling, wiped blank by... um... something?

*hand on forehead* ...time is so transient and life so changeable and shifting...

I'll be back when if I remember within the life of this GREAT post, okay?

Cheers,

Lilla ...
