Back in Time or Back To The Future?
August 17th 2007 22:27
Given the chance - which way would you head?
Back in Time or Back To the Future?
The paradox of time is curious - the implications of time travel (so commercially portrayed by Robert Zemeckis and Hollywood) are even more so.
Sure - we all like to look back and say what if . . . then again haven't we all (at one time of another) wished our lives away looking into what the future may bring?
I'm no philosopher, certainly not a scientist and most definitely not a quantam physicist - but surely there's a huge number of questions which beg to be answered - and even the most minor infractions could (as celluid city spelt out to young Marty McFly) 'have major repercussions - even if your intentions were good'.
Would it be worth it?
Would the risk of coming back to a world alien to the one you know now be worth the adventure?
Gosh! Is that the time?
Gotta run - or I'll have no future . . .

I'd like to think that in the future - there'd by a little more space in my life too . . .
Stay well

Sounds like you were there (for a minute at least). Hmmm - bullet bras, tight skirts and twin sets and martini's at the door - whadda girl . . .
Thanks for taking the time to call in

If I could not have that, then no, why bother going through that crap again?
I'd whizzzzz into the future, momentarily, to check out if what our 'visitors' are allegedly telling certain fellow humans is correct.
If so, well, it remains to be seen which part is true....
...the worst case future scenario:
I'd come back and start a revolution to try and prevent what is supposed to be in the pipeline.
...the best case future scenario:
I'd probably stay there!
cheers and beers

P.S. I miss the Roller Derby...those women were Amazonian and on top of that huge stature, those giant purple and checked beehive hairdoos...amazing!

The Roller Derby huh? Jack Little at Sydney Stadium. Let me guess - you were a T-Bird's fan?
Great to have you on board.
Thanks for dropping by.

YOU REMEMBER!!!
My first encounter was when I first arrived in Sydney, at the airport, to live with my family, Dad already being there a few months, we were finally joining him.
I was rushing ahead, as I was excited to see the limousine my Dad had to pick us up in, (my mum and I), when all of a sudden, WHAM!! I was on the floor!
I looked up wondering how on earth I'd run into the wall....no wall...well...not brick!
A TOWERING female roller derby player stood in front of me, glaring down, then in her slow American drawl said, "You OK kid?"
Her equally huge pal laughed, as I stared without comment with my mouth open, as her size, and her hair, a huge beehive with blue and purple checks somehow stamped on it, giant ruby lips....it was like I had fallen through the looking glass and met Godzilla...or is that God-Sheila!!!???!!!
I then found out about the Roller Derby...and became a fan. Alas I was too shy to ask for tickets...my dad had a good laugh too...will never forget that moment, then I saw them all on TV!!
cheers and keep on rollin!!

Hmmm. All I can say is make sure you look out for the DigiCom - you haven't heard about it yet - but my advice is to invest now. The returns (be it it another 10 years) will be phenomenal.
Cheers
