Blonde or Brunette?

Blonde
Blonde or Brunette?
There are some questions which will never quite adequately be answered in my opinion.

The Mayan Temples, Roswell, the Pyramids, Quasers and the most important question of our time . . . blonde or brunette.

Now while it appears gentlemen may prefer blondes, a recent survey states that when it comes to wives men really want a brunette.

According to a telegraph.co.uk report a new survey has found that men think blondes are better as girlfriends, but brunettes are the best for settling down with.

Almost one in five say blondes are sexier than other girls, with just under half saying they had more outgoing personalities.

When it comes to marriage, however, more than half said they would rather wed a dark-haired woman because they were more dependable and sensible.

Men also felt brunettes were the best homemakers with 51 per cent thinking they were best at organising the home, while 48 per cent thought they were the best cooks.

So men - and ladies - speak now or forever hold your piece - blonde or brunette?

Something I can actually speak with authority on as I have been both. I was blonde for many years and I'm now a brunette.

As far as attention goes, as a blonde I would get wolf whistled in the street and yobbos yelling out of cars at me, as a brunette I'm more likely to get an upfront compliment that is made with respect but I don't get whistled at from passing cars anymore *sob*

When I was thinking of having another change to my hair recently because I was bored I decided to be an ultimate blonde and poll my friends and colleagues as to colour. The overwhelming majority were for brunette.

I don't know whether the hair colour change made me any more sensible (doubtful) but stranger's perceptions of me definietly changed.

That's pretty interesting - perception is so often king.

You could of course look at becoming a red-head - now there's an avenue which needs exploring - or not.

Stay well

ive been blonde and brunette red . . . i think random strangers are friendlier to blondes, perhaps due to the stereotype of them being bubbly or light and fluffy . . . also blondes have to spend more money on the upkeep of their hair, so being blonde can be a status symbol of wealth

Morgan has that right, being blonde is bloody expensive although being brunette when you aren't naturally is not cheap either.

I have been red too MNG. At the time I also had green contacts and I used to get the most amazing comments about my Irish heritage showing through (I have freckles and pale skin). Little did they know that only the freckles and pallor were real

And I thought men were happy to share the housework these days. Well, if you think I'm going to let you know if I am blonde or brunette you are dreaming.

I'd rather keep you guessing whether I am dependable and reliable OR sexy!

No.1 daughter is naturally blonde - in fact she has the most beautiful hair - but for some reason best known to her went the whole 'red' thing.

Well we're waiting for it to grow out now aren't we . . . sometimes I guess you've just gotta go down that road when you're a teen.

Cheers and stay well

In the immortal words of Sean Connery as Bond, James Bond, when he was asked if he prefer Blondes or Brunettes

" I dont mind, as long as the cuffs and the collars match!"

I'm naturally blonde, but I did go brunette for a year. In all honesty I think that you do get less attention as a brunette than you do as a blonde.

Mind you, I think darker haired woman look more exotic than blondes - think Adriana Lima, Angelina Jolie, Selma Hayek. Us Blonde's look a bit insipid next to that kind of beauty.

Swings and roundabouts really isn't it?

Wonder why more blokes don't colour their hair?

What about red heads? Ginger or Mary Ann or, for that matter, Wilma or Betty!!!!!
