The Best 'Tragic' Love Songs Ever
September 17th 2010 06:02
You've probably been there - done that.
You know - the sinking feeling in the gut you get when the world has just come crashing down and all you really want is some kind of 'pick me up' - when on it comes, loud and clear through your car speakers - the dreaded 'tragic love song'.
They say, "misery loves company" well, welcome misery!
Thought I would list a few of my favourites and happy for you to throw in a few of your own - just for kicks.
Hey Won't You Play - Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song by B. J. Thomas
Against All Odds by Phil Collins
Angel by Sarah Mclachlan
Don't Let it End by Styx
Goodbye by Air Supply
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart by The Bee Gees
Seasons in The Sun by Terry Jacks
Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonny Tyler
and my personal favourite - drum roll please
"I Can't Live - If Living Is Without You" performed by Harry Nilsson
