Five Movies That Should Never Be Re-Made

November 20th 2010 21:04
Flashdance, Footloose, 80s, pop culture, pop classics, Top Gun, Rocky, ET, Movies, Films, Hollywood
There are just some movies that should never be remade.

Classics like Cassablanca, Gone With the Wind and Lawrence of Arabia.

Some fortunately have been left well enough alone - as it should be and some . . . well . . . .

But which movies in the modern pop era of our growing up should NEVER be remade?

Does Ferris Bueller's Day Off rate in your books or how about E.T?

Forest Gump or Back to the Future?

Could anyone possibly do a reprise of Top Gun or Footloose or are there others in your mind which should be labelled 'HANDS OFF' this is a pop classic.

Obviously a topic that is close to my cinematic heart MNG,

Any film that succeeded in its original intentions should not be touched IMO. If you must remake then make sure it was a dud the first time around and failed to live up to its promise.
