Classic Saturday Afternoon Movies
August 16th 2010 02:04
Remember when Ma and Pa Kettle or Abbott and Costello Meet The Mummy was standard faire of a Saturday afternoon on the small screen?
The rain would be tumbling down outside, the concept of enjoying the great outdoors had dissapated long ago and what you had was a feast of so-called classics from which to sit back and salivate.
Whether it was Elvis, The Three Stooges, a John Wayne festival or perhaps something else from the vault, you could be assured that it would keep the kids entertained while dad no doubt caught a few zzzz's in the armchair.
So whether Francis the Talking Mule goes to Westend lingers in your mind or Frankie Avalon and Beach Party was more the go - I'd love to know if you have any memories of classic Saturday afternoon movies.
