What's Your Most Prized Possession?
January 19th 2009 01:57
Albeit some meida/business moguls along with hollywood 'cougars' will cite their 'trophy wives' and 'toy boys' above all else - most of us have something of either calculable worth or otherwise - which we consider our most prized or precious possession.
Once upon a time this would have been a tough question for me - but these days I find answer lies in not the net worth of the object - but rather the net worth to my life.
But outside family, friends and memories - is there something - a keepsake - a memento - a small jewel in your personal crown which holds pride of place in your life?
Perhaps its something that was handed down to you?
Perhaps its a fond legacy of a bygone era?
It could be something as simple as a photograph or as detailed as a diary.
Perhaps you have a collection? Or perhaps a single item - which holds some kind of special significance?
Would love to hear what your's is.

I've still got stubs from the first Rugby League test match my dad took me too - what's more can remember the day as clear as a bell - even though it was too many years ago now.
Boy those concerts must hold a few memories . . .

Wow - the external hard drive - now there's something I never thought anybody would cite as their most precious commodity - it's a sign of the times for sure.
Stay well

Music, music, music - it's an escape isn't it!
It has certainly kept me sane - and I suggest millions of others - yep - desert island necessities - hmm - now there's an idea for a post . . . .
Cheers

Things are good with me, thanks. How about you? I haven't been Orbling that much lately.
Yes, I can't believe I said that, it was my husband's idea but he's right (don't tell him). I would be devastated without all my writing stuff, uni work, precious emails, pictures and things like that. But the hard copy photos are just as important too, so I think I'd need long arms to carry it all. Oh yes and my music...

All good here too. Some things do take precedence - and its heartening to know that we have enough in our collective lives that one aspect doesn't consume all our time huh?
You've got me with the precious email thing though - never seem to receive anything close to precious . . . but then again it may have something to do with the whole (XY) chromosomes thang
Stay well
