Are You Colour Blind? Take the Test!

September 29th 2009 23:21
About 12 - 20 percent (depending on whose figures you want to believe) of the white, male population and a tiny fraction of the female population are colour blind.

Strange thing is that of that 12 - 20 percent - almost 40 per cent don't realise it!

To those people most of the circles are nothing but but a bunch of spots.

Below are the correct answers to what a person with normal color vision would see

The test at the very bottom is even simplier.

Did You see the number 8?

Did You see the number 6?

Did You see the number 25?

Did You see the number 29?

Did you see number 45?

Did You see the number 56?

The test below is even simplier.

The individual with normal color vision will see a 5 revealed in the dot pattern.
An individual with Red/Green (the most common) color blindness will see a 2 revealed in the dots.

How did you fare?

Jason

Knew a panel beater/spray painter who decided to change career and join the police - never knew he was red green colour blind til he did the test . . . glad he never sprayed my car.

One of my friends, Lucas, is completely color blind. I can't grasp how he sees and thinks everything is normal.

What you and I see as blue - he may see as a different shade - but will still know that shade by the name blue - it's all a little confusing to explain sometimes.

I bet he longing for a return to the pychadelic era when it comes to his wardrobe though . . .

Mr. Nice Guy, it's pretty dangerous for those people who have color blind to drive on the roads! Honestly, it's quite a task for them to spot the changes of pedestrian crossing lights...

Lucky that Red is always at the top and green always at the bottom . . . no real need to know your colours I guess.

Cheers

So that's why so many men dress so badly?

The incidence of colour blindness is quite high in men, but many of those have a mild form, not the preilous, red/green variety.
