Back From The Dead

February 12th 2008 21:44
You have a coupon good to bring back one famous dead musician.

John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury and Roy Orbison are already back, but all others are still available.

Who do you choose?

Sorry 1 coupon per person - you've got to be tough when you're a genie.

I'll take Jeff Buckley as your no.1 choice . . . .

Since there can be only one (hmm.. sounds like a good line for a movie) then I will have to choose Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart over Johanne Sebastian Bach. Bach lived a full and happy life, Mozart lived only a short and in the end miserable one. Both were geniuses, but unfulfilled genius deserves the ticket.
Kurt Cobain...indeed!! There are enough drug f.#$%...d wankers in the music business already without bringing them back from the dead as well.

I'm glad someone decided to think outside the square -

It is to posterity's lasting disappointment that Mozart did not complete his two greatest liturgical works, the Requiem and the C minor Mass.

Nice call old boy.

What if, instead of bringing anyone back to life, you kill Robbie Williams or Michael Buble - and then I get to resuscitate them?

Mouth to mouth and eternal gratitude...

Hi MNG
My good old Uncle George - he played the most wonderful comb and tissue paper that you've ever heard.

From that list, I would have to go with Freddie Mercury since I'm a bigger fan of Queen than the others. I'm not doubting their huge impact on music though, I just don't like them as much as Queen.

If I had to pick anyone, I might go with Boris Yeltsin. I'd love to share a bottle of Vodka with that dude!

I guess all we'd need to do then would be find where Peggy Sue is these days - huh?

Just hope Richie Valenz and the Big Bopper don't get wind of Buddy doing a lazarus.

Cheers

Assuming you're not talking about George Harrison (who I've never known to have been deft at the comb) - it's nice that you should personalise your choice and share it with me.

Thank you.

JANIS JOPLIN!!!

If she isn't available....

JIMI HENDRIX!!!!

If he isn't available....

JIM MORRISON!!!!!!!!!!!!

However...in reality I would want them all back, they were all my heroes in music, and I lost them all in about two very bad years....so many years ago now...but still feel the pain

Great choices - but what is it about artists with Christian names starting with 'J'?

Cheers

MNG,

Elvis, so he could finally reach his full potential and get to visit Europe like he wanted to and not be made a puppet by his manager, who made him stay in the States, and do all those ridiculous movies.

Lilla ...
