The World's Worst Album Covers
October 29th 2008 01:24
Words would not do justice to some of the truly awful album covers there’s been over the years.
We’ve probably all had one – or seen one in Aunty Ethel’s collection – be it ‘Mrs Mable sings Slovenia’s Greatest Piano Accordian Hits’ or Horace Pile’s solo tribute album – “I Play with Myself”.
So without further ado - in to pay homage to an email I received just the other day with a few of the classics contained – what are some of the worst album covers you’ve come across.

Surely the smirk on the record company's creative team was broader than a proverbial Cheshire Cat's.
It has to have been something that slipped through the cracks . . . doesn't it?
Hmmmmm

I am sure it is far worse.

How many advertising brains hung out in the corporate think tanks for these, making more than the artists themselves I bet!
ZIP, ZAP, RAP?

I'm a little worried about that one . . . but of course curiosity will get the better of me.
Thanks - I think?

Worst still - they probably all reclining on sundecks somewhere in the Carribean congratulating themselves on their work . . . ouch!
Oh the pain!
Stay well

Now there's a treat for the weekend . . .
Download these then get a few unsuspecting friends around for a dinner party and enjoy the look of delight on their faces . . . .
hmmmm - I think I just made myself laugh with the thought.
Cheers and thanks for dropping by

Those Germans are a strange group of people, as evidence I give to you the Hoff. Not to mention the original cover of The Scorpions album "Virgin Killer". I will not share an image of it, but for those that do not know the original cover had a naked pre-pubescent girl sitting with a glowing light emerging from her netherregions.
Sadly it was Hoff singing, and not KITT.
Also, that Zip, Zap, Rap one. . . I REALLY think they should have made it Zap, Zip, Rap. Sure it doesn't rhyme as well, but think about the cover image and fit it in that way.
