Would You Believe . . . .
What started out as a simple outlet to allow a little pop culture seepage to drain from the feeble mind of a tragic quickly became an avenue to not only express and impart but also share the passion and musings of others.
From what now seems very humble numbers and even humbler beginnings, I recall having a goal of writing something (anything) which may prompt comment from a fellow Orbler.
Building karma points was pretty big back in the day and having reached that little milestone I desperately wanting to have the top Orble Post of the Day.
Well, thanks to some new friends and acquaintances along the way, I managed to reach all those initial goals only to realise that in essence the real challenge was to keep things fresh, light and your enthusiasm from waning.
From time to time the bar has dropped (some would say more often than not) but fortunately I've had the support of many along the way - some of whom are still writing very successfully today and some who have gone on to other pursuits and traipsed new paths.
Of course I remain in awe of the writing talent, the knowledge base, the insights and friendly, community-minded spirit of those who call Orble home and to each and every one of you goes my thanks for continuing to perseve with my rants, continuing to show tolerance for each other's points of view and being a part of my world.
