Motor Cycles in Movies

Remember The Great Escape with Steve McQueen?
Remember the scene where he is looking to escape the marauding Nazi hounds as he attempts to jump the barbed wire border fences?
Or how about Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda as two young "hippie" bikers, Wyatt and Billy who set off for a trip across America, on their own personal odyssey looking for a way to lead their lives.
Or the Governator - Arnold Schwarzenegger and his love of horsepower between his legs in The Terminator.
Inspired by the movie Wild Hogs and news that Wild Hogs II is now in production - the interest in 'motorised horses' has swollen to all time highs - with hundreds (no thousands) discovering the thrill of the open road.
Hollywood has of course featured everything from Choppers to Trail Bikes, Cruisers to Vespa's in a testament to not only the exhiliation of the two wheel journey but sometimes the romance and exploits that go with owning one.
Those with a more intimate knowledge of the genre will no doubt have a multitude at hand - so the court is now open people . . . ride hard or go home.

Film & TV on DVD
Electra Glide in Blue starring Robert Blake as a motocycle cop comes in high on my list after the obvious choices (Eg; Great escape, Easy Rider etc)
The Dirty Harry sequel Magnum Force also has some cool law enforcement Harley action. Also Clint on a Chopper in The Gauntlet being chased by a a copter will always be up there in my book.
The Charlie Bronson hitman treat The Mechanic has a cool dirt bike chase that ranks high with me.
The Aussie cult classic biker movie Stone deserves a spot on any list of this type too.
The Warren Oates/peter Fonda horror flick Race with the Devil has some memorable dirt bike riding too
On the Mcqueen tip, the documentary On Any Sunday which focuses on the early days of motocross has some cool footage of Steve taking flight on two wheels.
