High School Crush Songs

High School Crushes
Ever have a high School Crush?

Is there a song which remains you of them or simply takes you back to that period in your life?

Did anything ever come of it – or did it (has it) remains just a fond memory?

Short and sweet - I know - but then again - so was my crush.

Would love to hear about yours.

Red Sails in the Sunset ... a bump and grinder for the cool kids at partys.

Which wasn't me.

I take it - you mean the Nat King Cole version and not the Aussie band - Midnight Oil's Version?

Perhaps it's another?

Cheers buddy

After your other post, I'd love to say it was "Fuck the Police" by NWA, but more realistically, it was that awful "November Rain" song by Guns N Roses. I couldn't dance, so slow dancing was the closest I knew to seducing girls.

I did have awfully sweet moments with a girlfriend to see this local band from my hometown play:

how strange...

Cib

Did they always play classroom gigs

Let me guess - you were third row second from the left - waving the pirate flag - perhaps not

No-one told me this clip was rated Arrragghhhh

Rob Stewart's Tonight's the Night. I had a party at my house, and after everyone left, the boy I had a crush on stayed behind. He was a whole year older and had a full beard!!! Got my first real kiss to this song.

Turns out he was a total jerk, and not a very memorable sort of guy at all, but hey, I love the song!

Rod Stewart had a lot to answer for with that song - sultry, evokative - just damned sex on vinyl really . . .

Hope the question didn't evoke too much angst . . .

Stay well

It's pretty bad to confess this, but a song a girl and I once shared was "2 become 1" by Spice Girls.

MNG

I would have to say
"Heartbeat': The Knack
"Melissa" Allman Brothers
"Midnight Train to Georgia" Gladys Night
