Is Steve McQueen Hollywood's coolest actor of all time?
Does Humphrey Bogart top the cool stakes ahead of Steve McQueen?
Would Paul Newman beat John Travolta in a head to head in cool?
Well according to a recent survey one of these six tops the list as the coolest actor to have ever graced the big screen.
But what of Marlon Brando, James Dean, Al Pacino and Clint Eastwood?
And what exactly makes cool?
Clinical psychologist Adam Ferrier set out to find out why some people are cool, and others uncool, for his masters thesis at the University of Western Sydney.
Not wanting to bastardise his thesis too much, Mr Ferrier has been quoted as saying "although much has been written in both psychological and marketing literature about its mystique and its importance to brands, 'cool' has not been defined before,"
From the rebellious-nessappropriated in the 1950s by white role models such as Elvis Presley, James Dean and Marlon Brando through to self-believers such as Russell Crowe and Brad Pitt - who tops your list as Hollywood's coolest?

There is no arguing the cool of Dean, Newman, Brando, Clift and co.
For me Steve McQueen and Robert Mitchum would top the list of classic cool.
Sterling Hayden and Dean Martin sit tall too.
Foreign cool can't be underestimated either with the likes of Alain Delon and Toshiro Mifune for competition.
In the modern age Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, Johnny Depp, Benicio Del Toro, Viggo Mortensen, Thomas Jane, Gabriel Byrne and Aaron Eckhart have it.
Jack Nicholson has never lost it.
And Jean Reno deserves some attention too.
