I Should Have Said Yes . . .
April 18th 2009 20:56
Everyone should be permitted one re-set button in their lives.
A chance to go back to a defining moment when either a simple yes or no has led you through one of life's sliding doors and set you on the path you're on today.
Perhaps it was no to a job offer, or yes to that cute boy/girl, perhaps it was an indecisive maybe - which you look back on and wonder - what if?
Missed opportunities or pre-determined outcomes - perhaps our decisions and responses to choice are of no consequence and our futures are blueprinted in advance - or are they in the lap of the gods.
Is there a time you look back on and would indulge the re-set option?
And where would it have led you?

I've been lucky in that I've been able to make a lot of mistakes.
I never would have met that special someone who I might have met anyway, if I had made good choices.
In a way, it's the choices I made before I was aware I had a choice that set me up for a lot of bad choices.
I'm grateful I could make so many bad choices, and in that I had no choice.
