My First Job
April 6th 2011 01:56
Remember back 'in the day' when if you wanted independence then you went out and got yourself a part-time gig?
Parents would look point blank at you around the age of 14 or 15 and start the interrogation process about exactly when you were going to start door knocking at local businesses with a view to obvious self sufficiency.
Reinforced by other family and friends - along with a little peer group pressure no doubt, most of us found ourselves flippin burgers, doing paper deliveries, mowing lawns, parked alongside a cash register or haulin' rogue shopping trolleys.
But a few actually got some really cool jobs!
Some gleaned no doubt through friends or friends of friends - but cool none-the-less.
Unfortunately it just wasn't this little black duck.
But perhpas it was you?
Go on! Make us salivate.
