If You Could Change 1 Thing About Yourself It Would Be?
March 19th 2008 01:57
A incisive (but cutting) comment reverberated around the office this morning along the lines that someone needed . . . well . . . . a reality check, and that their relationship with the 'here and now' was more like 'whenever' and 'later'.
It was a fair cop - but could have been delivered in more constructive way.
That said - it got me to thinking about myself and what I would change - either professionally, physcially, spirtually or socially.
Sure - we all feel we are pretty much the complete package - and that where we are at present is as a result (in the main) of the circumstances was constructed throughout our lives to this point.
Change (physically at least) is probably the hardest one to get our heads around.
We can't instantly takes steps to be six inches taller or apsire to have feet which don't resemble flippers - but as with most aspects of our lives - we can make changes - both superficially and permanently.
Given the chance, inclination (or that fabled genie) what though, would be the one thing you would change about yourself?

Why some of us soooooo laid back that the world could crumble beneath their feet and they wouldn't care and some stress about whether the sun is going to rise in the east again tomorrow is a mystery to me.
Natural selection - I think not. Learned behaviour - perhaps. Genetics - maybe.
Anyone with an answer?

There's a time and place for everything and everyone.
I'm sure it just makes those for whom you wish to share feel all the more special.

Don't ever lose your sense of humour - it's what keeps us all sane.

Be close and take care of one's you love. Cause when it's all said and done, they're going to be the ones there for you when you need them.
Kids grow up - so enjoy their company, their laughter and the trials/tribulations that go with it while you can - it goes in the wink of an eye.

That picture of Michael is so creepy... talk about too much change. I would like to be able to always make sure I said the second thing on my mind and not the first.
