Do You Have A Favourite L.O.V.E song?
October 16th 2008 03:23
Not quite my genre - but coming home the other night couldn't help but notice that at least 2 music stations and one talkback programme were inundated by people who wanted to cite their favourite all time love song.
Well - it had me hooked for the next 30 minutes at least.
From John Mayer to Frank Sinatra, Elton John to Aaliyah - everyone seemed to want to have their say and cite the song which meant something to them.
The range was astonishing - and the more I contemplated the chasm of works which have frequented our airwaves over the years is it any wonder there was such a vast body of selections.
So are you a David Gates and Bread fan? Or perhaps ONJ's " Hopelessly Devoted to You" from the movie Grease?
Maybe Beloved One by Ben Harper is more your go or even Joss Stone's "You Had Me" - would love (err) appreciate what you have at the top of your list.

I don't really have a favourite love song.
The first song that came to mind was Van Morrison's Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?
But love-making is a mood thing. There are quickies and slowies.
And, sometimes I'll consider a non-love song the perfect love song. Nine Inch Nails comes to mind. Or Pearl Jam's Animal.
Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport is not on my list, okay? I'd rather listen to the band Limp Biscuit.

Shania actually had something going for her didn't she.
After all - she certainly made alot of people 'feel like a woman' didn't she?
Stay well and enjoy your weekend.

What - Rolf Haris doesn't do it for you!
Just shoot me down in flames - I always regarded Rolf as the poor man's Barry White.
After all - Jake the Peg with his extra leg . . . hmmm . . . if that wasn't something to turn the ladies on - I don't know what would.
Cheers
