Medical Song Titles
October 10th 2007 02:24
Tomorrow, Mrs Nice Guy goes in for surgery.
Unforeseen - but acutely necessary.
So to take my mind off things temporarily at least - thought it would be a fitting post to get acquainted with song tiles (or artists) with some medical bent.
My immediate thoughts turned to Robert Palmer and his reference to Doctor Doctor - in bad case of lovin' you - but wandered to include The Cure, Achy Breaky Heart and for something completely different David Saville and the Chipmunks and their Witch Doctor ditty.
Would love to hear yours.

Sometimes you get the impression there's a motley crew in charge of our health system.

Hope all goes well for your op. The only song I could think of that remotely connected to anything hospital-relted was 'Bad to the bone' - no idea who sings it!
Speedy recovery!

DON'T DO IT!!! You don't want to end up IN THE CLOSET DO YOU?????
Such a pity for such a nice straight guy!!!
Make sure you check your file on the end of your bed...when I was in some years ago, I found out I had some other guy's notes!!!! I was too scared to look at what he was in for!!
I thought of "Doctor Doctor" too...what aboooot ..."the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone...." just make sure they know that at the "horse-pitiable" toooo!!!!
cheers matey...and don't let them give you any little pricks...and if someone says, bend over and breathe deeply...think of England!!!

From memory it was George Thoroughgood - though I suggest there may have been a few remixes since then.
That's a classic choice.

The healing process (and no it won't be in the Marvin Gaye manner) will apparently be a little arduous, but we've been overwhelmed by the kindness and concern shown by friends (yes - even our new on-line Orblean pals).
Thankyou my sweet. (Hope you take that in the right vein)

In fact I remember Mrs Nice Guy once bought me Robert Palmer's Addictions album as a gift. I actually mentioned I was keen on a Robert Plant LP . . .
Her take on the whole thing was that she remembered the Robert part of the whole discussion - but got confused when it came to the genus - Plant vs Palm
Thankyou.

Remember that old dodderer, an old English comic, his movies 1930's silly comedies, they play on ABC late at night, George...Formby...maybe...he always uses an old vaudville tag line..."I thank you..." elongating the "you" into yeeww....dear...I have nothing to write about myself and I am prattling....
cheers and hears to a sharp scalpel and a steady hand!!
