What Cool 'Toys' Do You Wish You Had?
August 2nd 2010 02:08
My wife has a saying - 'Gold dreams cost no more than silver ones . . . ' and it's not a bad credo to live by - on so many levels.
So when someone asked me the other day what 'toys' I wish I could own - that particular mantra popped into my head.
Hmmm, would I plump for that new Ferrari, perhaps the 32ft cruiser, a small island - the prospects were seemingly endless.
No, I thought to myself - drag yourself back into the real world fella - what would be achievable, what could you work towards actually owning, what is something you'd genuinely glean some kind of satisfaction out saying 'this is mine' . . . how cool is this?
Of course, what is cool to one person is not necessarily cool for another - so I'm not about judge whether owning the new ipad along with all the apps that go with it is any more a cool toy than say a Harley Davidson or your own designated home cinema.
Me?
Well I guess I'm lucky enough to have both an understanding wife and one or two 'man toys' - which I've squirreld away.
These days it's finding the time to play . . .
