Which rock have I been hiding under?

It appears the entire world is familiar with Dita Von Teese - a Playboy legend, with dozens of appearances in Hugh Hefner's magazine.

Her unique taste and affinity for old-style lingerie are hard to ignore and, consequently, has cultivated a huge following on the Internet and is in demand for several high-class gentleman's functions.


The stunning burlesque dancer - the estranged wife of gothic rocker Marilyn Manson has scores of sites designated to her – not the least pictorially.

In fact Dita was recently quoted as saying:

"Amateur pornography is a great thing. You can find anything for everyone on the internet. So long as no one's hurting anyone or involving children then hey, what's wrong with that?

So how come I missed the memo?

Did I miss the memo about Dita?
Perhaps I was too busy ‘doin other stuff’ – but when female colleagues start discussing the virtues of Dita – and you simply shrug your shoulders and ask the dumb question – then I have to assume everyone (and I mean everyone) must be cosy with both her reputation and CV.


The raunchy 34-year-old performer also revealed she used to work in a strip club to satisfy her desire to take her clothes off – thank goodness she didn’t want to become a dentist – she could poke patients eyes out with those things.

So – am I alone out there – and who else in today's pop culture environment should I be well versed on?

I think most females...well at least the ones who read fashion magazines...have known about and of Dita, for a while now.

She's considered quite the style icon...which is ironic considering what she does for a living...

...and the fact that she once used to have sex with (excuse me, I need to gag) Marilyn Manson fascinates us. In that oh God that is repulsive kind of way.

I've seen Dita in 'action' when she was here, guest stripping starring for a fashion event. BUT she's not a stripper. She's a burlesque artist.

The difference? One tittilates. The other's got tits.

...or something like that.

Actually, I'm quite a fan of Marilyn Manson. His music, not so much, though a couple of songs were quite popular.

In Bowling for Columbine, though, he was one of the few people that had something intelligent to say.

actually all the women he dates are stunning, look at rose mcgowan . . . and i think dita, rose and the new one (evan rachel wood) all look kind of similar in stature and shape and style . . . hes drinking too much absinthe, he probably cant tell them all apart!
