I Am Most Guilty Of . . . ?
December 3rd 2007 20:21
Are you a perfectionist?
Perhaps you worry too much?
Or is cynicism more your bent?
We all have them. Foilbles, traits - call them what you will - that we carry with us through life that help mark us as 'special'.
How we came about 'acquiring' these 'traits' is in itself interesting - but best left for those with a deeper interest in the human pysche than moi.
Maybe angst is your middle name or is melodrama part of your staple diet?
Are you a worrier or is pedantry, indecision or misplaced trust something you're often accused of?
Are you a risk taker or a conservative soul?
Whatever you're most guilty of - I'd love to hear it.

Low self esteem.
The never ending battle for perfection with an imperfect mind!
I could go on...and on...

Direction and planning are of course the bane of those of us who are (or would like to be) more carefree.
Nothng wrong with planning and direction. The Pyamids didn't just happen, Rome wasn't built in a day, we didn't decide that putting a man on the Moon would be something we could do in our spare time.
More power to you my friend.

Some call it procrastinating - others call it delibrating.
Some call it low self esteem - others call it modesty.
As for perfection - I remember an English master saying to us once - use what talents you possess; the forest would be silent if no birds sang except those that sang best.

Just joshin'. I'm guilty of being quite contrary. They should have named me Mary.
I'm also an avid list maker and yet half the time I can't be bothered doing what I've listed.
I sometimes wear pyjamas in the day time. I sometimes have chocolate at breakfast. I always tie one shoe before I even have the other on.

Ah - blessed are the list makers.
Mrs NG is a list-maker. In fact she makes lists about the lists she has to make.
And like you - never quite has the time to follow through on the lists - because, well . . . she's spent too long making them in the first place.
Now, as for pyjamas on during the day, chocolate at breakfast - well - that's just plain fun

The two are mutally exclusive really.
You can't really give something too much thought if you aren't comfortable now can you?
Cheers
