Is This The Most Annoying Song Ever?

Whether it's something by Michael Bolton or 'anything' by Celine Dion - the cream of the most annoying 'hits' always appear to rise to the top of just about any list you'd care to check out.
Perhaps 'The Chicken Dance' or The Macarena have immediately surfaced in your own mind or is there another?
For mine it's this gem . . .

There are times when I don't dislike Metallica.
Usually it's a bucket of bourbon and WWF.
I'd say that on the whole I find them to be:
Soft as butter wrapped in a noisy, hard case.
On the whole, you didn't hear it from me.
How annoying am I? If only I had an ear for it.

Kids or women screeching in the chorus, stupid dancing, a monotonous, repetitive melody and lyrics and OH SO BLOODY CHEESY!!!

Yep, that what the 80's and 90's produced in heavy metal: blow-dried bands with permed hair and leg-warmers.
What it comes down to though, is there has never been anything close to ACDC.
Barbed-wire wrapped in high voltage - they are the definition of heavy metal!

It almost signalled the birth of techno pop - and my view of it was probably tainted as it was the signature tune in the early-mid 70's for an ABC schools science/current affairs programme we were made to sit and watch twice a week.
Ah - the good old days - hmmmm
