World's Sexiest Songs
November 2nd 2007 20:57
Tuned in to some local radio while on my way home last night and was greeted by the steamy, palpitations of 70's pop diva Donna Summer and one of the sexiest songs ever to hit the airwaves - "I Feel Love".
The pretext and significance of what was to follow would've been lost on me if I'd changed stations at that point - however it was soon apparent that listeners had voted on their 10 sexiest songs of all time.
Predominently a soft rock, 70's and 80's program - I unfortunately only managed to catch two more of their list - which included Rod Stewart's "Tonight's The Night" and "Wicked Games" by Chris Issak.
The concept got me thinking as to what I would have on my list.
Would the hit - "You Can Leave Your Hat On" make it or perhaps the chessy 80's Olivia Newton John piece - "Let's Get Physical" would get a guernsey.
How about Nora Jones and "Turn Me On" or something from Marvin Gaye.
Maybe "Closer" from Nine Inch Nails would make it in your books or even AC/DC and their anthem to intimacy - "You Shook Me All Night Long"
Would love to have your input.

Film & TV on DVD
An entertaining topic, a few that jump in the head:
Fever by Peggy Lee
Sugar in my Bowl by Ella Fitzgerald
Slave to Love by Roxy Music
I Put a Spell on You by Nina Simone
Let's Get it On or Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye

Ella Fitzgerald - classic!
And Mr Smooth - Marvin Gaye - how could anyone (other than Barry White of course) go past him.
Thanks for dropping by buddy.
Cheers

Let's Get It On never really clicked with me - but I will admit - it deserves its place on the list.
You're right of course. There's sexy stuff, steamy stuff and then there's just plain raunch.
Always great to have you drop by.
Cheers

I agree with Ella Fitzgerald.
Plus... Meatloaf. Again. I can't help it! Paradise By The Dashboard Light, You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Total Eclipse of the Heart when he sings with Bonnie, I Would Do Anything For Love, Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad
KISS - I Was Made For Loving you Baby, for some reason.
Robbie Williams - Feel
Michael Buble - Feeling Good, Save The Last Dance For Me, Coming Home, Sway, Fever (It's him that makes them so good)
Frank Sinatra - Call Me Irresponsible
Pulp - Pencil Skirt
Roxanne - but I prefer the Moulin Rouge version
The Cat Empire - No Longer There
Australian Crawl - Reckless
Labelle - Lady Marmalade
Some songs that have nothing to do with sex are downright sexy - it's all in the voice or the melody or - the singer (I'm not refering to Meatloaf there).

You seem well versed in the subject. I suspect anything I may say other than that may be held against me in a court of law
Always a pleasure to have you call in.
