Songs Featuring People's Names
September 29th 2007 23:40
I was in the car yesterday with No.3 daughter when Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire" ditty found itself onto the airwaves.
Intrigued by mention of Dietrich and DeMagio - the youngest of MNG cherubs set the wheels in motion by asking the question - 'are there many songs that have people's names in them dad'.
As the journey proceeded - we gave ourselves the challenge of listing at least 10 before our 10 minute journey ended;
Our list included
Mrs Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel, Little Jeanie by Elton John, Lucy in the Sky, Help Me Rhonda, A Boy Named Sue, Maybelline by Chuck Berry, Bad Bad Leroy Brown, Cathy's Clown, Jack and Dianne and Rhiannon.
Love to have you add to the compilation.

I need to make Robbie Williams or someone fall in love with me so they can write a ballad in my honour.

Too many to list. Half of the Beatles' songs? Half of Springsteen's?
But since it's grand final weekend. Roy Cazaly in 'Up there Cazaly.'
I can't leave out Lola.

Thanks for narrowing that down.
It's akin to saying just choose 6 numbers from 40 and you win.

You're just too clever for your own (and my) good.
Sport was very definitely the winner over the weekend - and yes - it was entirely pleasant.
Stay well my friend.
Speak soon.
