World's Greatest Sporting Movies
September 18th 2009 01:45
It's that time of the week - where the battle rages between those who hunker down on a weekend to enjoy all the delights of celluloid vs those who live for sporting immortality in and on the playing arena.
But what of those movie makers who have combined both passions?
From the quinessential Rocky movies through to Mickey Rourke and The Wrestler, Robert Redford's - The Natural to Field of Dreams, Friday Night Lights, Cool Runnings and even Rollerball - there have been literally hundreds of 'killer' movies featuring all that is good (and sometimes) all that isn't - when it comes to sport.
But what have been the best in your mind?
Does Caddyshack make the cut?
Perhaps Wimbledon?
Bad News Bears or Chariots of Fire?
Would love to hear your take on it.
