Pop Culture Action Figures

Remember GI Joe?
Or how about Barbie and Ken?
Were you a My Little Pony type? Or perhpas a Captain America, Star Wars or Smurfs kinda guy/gal?
From afar - action figures always seemed to me, more for those kids who were . . . well less active i(n my mind at least) . . . playing out knock em down, drag em out games between action figures that they weren't quite prepared to act out themselves.
Barbie was of course a different kettle of fish altogether - and being a lad was gobsmacked in later life to learn that girls (and perhaps a few boys) don't just have one Barbie - but an entire Harem - not to mention the accessories!
In short - action figures weren't really my go - but perhaps they were yours?
Afterall - collectors are paying megabucks for Star Wars figures et al - so who's laughting now - not this scribe . . .
So did you indulge? Were you an action figure junkie?
