Masked Heroes

Some superheroes with dual identities and anonymity choose to duck in and out of their invincible roles rather than adopt it permanently.
By most definitions, characters do not strictly require actual superhuman powers to be deemed superheroes and as such you'll hear the terms costumed crime fighters when we refer to characters such as Batman.
Normally our masked superheroes use their powers to police day-to-day crime while also combating threats against humanity by supervillains or simply the evil that lurks alongside us.
Spiderman, Captain America even The Lone Ranger certainly fit the bill as those who have donned the mask and and the identity of intrigue.
As we watch characters such as Iron Man mete out justice albeit with a human alter ego - who have been our favourite masked avengers?
