My Favourite Beatles Song Ever Is . . .
September 16th 2011 04:01
Debate rages among fans and casual observers as to the best (if there can be a best) Beatles song every produced.
The variables are as cavernous as they are obscure, with the technically brilliant sitting alongside what is probably pop cultural bubblegum.
Yet, take away the gobblygook, the nuiances and the hyperbole - bottom line is what rings true with the individual.
What is one person's classic Beatles track may be hum drum to another.
Whether Norwegian Wood or Revolution stacks up against Yesterday or She Loves You is a matter for individual taste.
Be it a ballad or a 2 minute 30 slice of throw away pop - there's a raft to choose from - and it ain't easy folks.
So if Hey Jude, A Day In the Life or Strawberry Fields sits atop of I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Eleanor Rigby or A Hard Days Night - then I say - Let It Be!
