A recent on-line poll of the world’s sexiest female TV stars of the last 40 years turned up some surprising results.

Some of them I agree with, some I find questionable and some, well . . . .

Pamela Anderson really???? I would have put her down as one of the ugliest. (Anyone who needs that much surgery can't be attractive IMO)...in the eye of the beholder I guess.


I have to agree with Catherine Bach, Lynda Carter, Diana Rigg and Julie Newmar.

A few notable exceptions that spring to mind:

Scully (Gillian Anderson) in X Files
Catallina (Nadine Velazquez) in My Name Is Earl
Winnie Cooper (Danica McKellar) in Wonder Years (age specific I guess)
Athena (Maren Jensen) in the original Battlestar Galactica
Jody Banks (Heather Thomas) in The Fall Guy
Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn) in Twin Peaks
Jaye Tyler (Caroline Dhavernas) in Wonderfalls

I noticed that JohnDoe has suggested Sherilyn Fenn from Twin Peaks and i have to say that is a great choice.

Also, i would personally have Courtney Cox (Monica from Friends) on the list.

I used to watch this show with my parents: Acapulco H.E.A.T., a ridiculous show about a group of sexy women that were also a combat task force or something.

now, of course, it seems ludicrous.

Pamela Anderson????? I'm sorry, but that's just wrong! I don't get Eva Longoria either. She's attractive sure, but nothing spectacular as far as I'm concerned. And while I quite like Cristina Applegate, I wouldn't have had her in the top 20.

I'd definitely include Gillian Anderson (Scully) from X-Files. I'd probably also find a spot for Angie Harmon from Law & Order and now that Women's Murder Club or whatever it's called.

I'm sure there's more, but I've gone blank now!

there was an old show called Sheena, Queen of the Jungle in the 50s with the main character played by Irish McCalla. She posed for a Playboy cartoonist back then and the pictures were published recently - wow, what a figure!
