Why Are All TV Dads Always Wrong?

Say what you want about sexism on television and stereotypes - but folks it cuts both ways!

Take the TV dad//husband for example.

From Al Bundy through to Gomez Addams, Homer Simpson and Archie Bunker - the TV husband as generally been protrayed as earnestly believing he is in charge of his own household - only to be found wanting by the equally stereotypical all knowing, all caring yet completely understated wife.


Lazy writing? Perhaps.

Real life? Perhaps.
