The World's Best Side-Kicks
May 31st 2011 02:27
Batman had Robin "Boy Wonder", Oliver Hardy had Stan Laurel, Dick Dastedly had Muttley and Gromit had Wallace.
Common denominator?
All sidekicks.
As far back as the entertainment world goes there's been the alter ego of the so-called star - be it Bernard P Fife sidekick to Andy Taylor in the Andy Griffith Show or Willow Rosenberg sidekick Buffy Summers in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Invariably the Waylan Smithers, Ron Weasley's and Dr Watson's make a name for themselves - but always seemingly on the undercard so to speak - yet their importance to film and television should never be understated.
So, who have been your favourite sidekicks?
Does Rhoda from the Mary Tyler Moore series get your vote or does Poncho from the Cisco Kid make the cut?
Is Chewbacca 'The' Ultimate sidekick or does George Constanza get the nod?
