What's Your Favourite All-Time TV Show?
November 15th 2011 22:55
So, there I was, wandering in from another day at the coal face around 11pm - when what greeted me - and old friend, one of my all time favourite sitcoms - Cheers!
Comfort TV (or so I label it) can't ever be underestimated.
It may not be mentally stimulating, you may not come away knowing anymore than you did before watching it - but it does serve a purpose - and if that purpose is to simply put you in a better place - then viola!
Sure, there's a few which come to mind such as Hill Street Blues - but in essence whenever anyone asks - invariably Ted Danson and his cast of merry men (and women) immediately spring to mind.
So folks - do you have a fav?

Twilight Zone and Outer Limits were particularly cool. Seinfeld rates with just about everyone I think . . .

For a long-running "comfort TV" series I would choose MASH.
My recent favourites include Sons of Anarchy and Big Love.

Gunsmoke was good too.
I always like the quirkyness of Northern Exposure, Mad about You, and Seinfeld too.
For drama, love Law and Order (and its various incarnations)
For BBC, Mystery and Masterpiece, Black Adder, Monty Python, Spooks, all so good.
Funny, I don't watch much TV these days. Probably because I would have to search for all the shows I would rather see, like these old ones.
big fan of Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Alfred Hitchcock Presents,
