Musical 'Eye Candy'

Is Kylie your poster girl?

Sure - the music scene is (and has been) littered with sound-alikes - all vying for the elusive dollar.

But when it comes to plain out and out 'eye candy' who sits atop the tree?

Having caught a glimpse of some poor nubile young 'thang' this morning strutting her stuff on "M" - it is starting to become apparent that there's no such thing as 'unattractive performers' (unless of course you happen to be singing at the opening of the Beijing Olympics).

. . . and so it was written that the beautiful shall inherit the charts - and there was peace throughout the land.

Is Justin Timberlake the man who deserves your accolades or is Pink the choice of the male masses?

Is new girl Gabriella Cilmi your poster girl or is Pete Murray the man of the moment?

Sara Bareilles, Delta Goodrem, Chris Brown, Jason Mraz, Katy Perry, Kid Rock . . . or does your taste date back further?

Would love to hear who (in your opinion) strides the pop music mountain peak in the looks dept.

Celebrity Obsession

Unfortunately, all too often looks are more important for a performer than whether they can actually sing or not - see Holly Valance, Paris Hilton etc. They annoy me.

But hot performers. Well, my picks would be:

Blokes
Dave Grohl - Foo Fighters

The Girls
Sheryl Crow
Carrie Underwood - I don't know what she sings (not a big American Country Music fan) but she is gorgeous.
Gwen Stefani

That's all I can think of for now!

Have to wonder why in that case I've never cracked the big time

I'll go with Gwen and Carrie - but can't see the whole Sheryl Crow look leaves me cold - a bit harsh for my liking.

As for Dave Grohl - sans long locks or with?

I may make a few people cringe but the two artists I find hot right now are Blink-182/( 44) drummer Travis Barker and the Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean. I like slightly scruffy guys, singers like J.T. and Chris Brown just aren't manly enough for my taste.

Well, I have to o back in time a bit for my choices. No surprise there since the 1980s was the best decade ever!

For females:
Lita Ford
Samantha Fox
Susannah Hoffs (Bangles lead singer)
Doro Pesch (lead singer of a German band named Warlock)

For the male side of things I hae to mention a few that people around me over the years have swooned over.

Kip Winger (of the band Winger)
Adrian Vandenberg (played guitar for Whitesnake among many other things)

Poison when the first came out. How many guys out there said, "wow, they are some hot chicks!"

And finally one pair that were chosen for no other reason than their looks. . .
