What Have You Missed?

Did I Miss Anything?
Knew a bloke once - who was so seriously relaxed and enjoying the distractions of his less than reliable mates - that he actually arrived to the church on his wedding day just minutes before the bride - much to the angst of not only the minister but the entire congregation.


Now - I don't think I can be accused of even coming close to missing my own wedding - and alls well that ended well with my 'cruisey' acquaintance - but what have you (or anyone you know) missed by either design or misadventure?

Perhaps it was that lucrative job interview? Or maybe a hallowed family event? Did you inadvertantly let down a lunch/dinner date?

Whatever it was - why not share - what hopefully is now an anacdote worth gaffawing over.

Yep. In my head, I keep thinking to myself. I have a flight at 7, I have a flight at 7. So I make sure I get up really early, have everything packed and ready to go and about 1:30pm in the afternoon I was ready. I decided to do the right thing by calling the airline just to make sure the plane is on time and confirm my flight.

"That flight left 7am this morning madam... not 7pm..." said the voice on the other side of the phone....

So I'd missed the flight. Thankfully they let me change the flight to the NEXT day 7am.
