Weird (but wonderful) Song Titles
September 7th 2007 01:08
I was going through my album collection the other night - and with time on my hands – started to make a note of some of the weird (yet great) song titles of our time .
Innocently starting out with The Diary of Horace Whimp as a catalyst – the list grew increasing bizarre – a testament to my taste in music or (as I suspect) muso’s with something other than screaming guitar riffs and semi quavers on their minds.
Here’s a few a came across (spot the Country and Western titles if you can).
1) Butterfly in reverse
2) Jumping Someone Else’s Train
3) I’m The Urban Spaceman
4) Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Part 1
5) Just Bought A Car From A Guy That Stole My Girl,
But The Car Don't Run, So I Figure We Got An Even Deal
6) I Liked You Better Before I Got to Know You So Well
7) Keep Forgettin' I Forgot About You
8) Have you seen your Mother, baby, standing in the shadows?
9) I'm so miserable Without You, It's Like Having You
Here
10) Helen Wheels
• If you spotted nos. 5, nos 6. nos. 7 and nos. 9 – give yourself a round of applause.
Would love to hear yours!
