Movie Monsters - who or what was your favourite?

The sheer thought of Bela Lugosi ‘morphing’ from behind the settee or materializing from the shadows which lined the path to my bedroom – was enough to send any seven-year-old stir crazy.
There are so many things that make great movie monstesr – be they costumes or clothing their grotesqueness, their brutality or simply the suspense they create.
Classics such as Dracula or Frankenstein immediately come to mind, while the Mummy and the Werewolf – were all diabolical creations of their era.
King Kong, The Blob?
But what of the modern classics?
How about Michael Myers and his Halloween films or Freddy Krueger and the whole A Nightmare on Elm street ensemble.
Perhaps the leatherclad face of the character from the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre films - can you imagine encountering this guy?
I would have been petrified just working on the movie set with him.
Then there’s Chucky from the Child's Play films and a host more pillow hugging terrors that have probably starred in more than more nightmare out there.
So who are your favourite movie monsters?

Tough to choose a favourite, Kong, the original Wolfman, Dracula and Frankenstein rank highly....Nosferatu scared me as a kid and still unnerves as an adult.
The one that scared me the most was Bruce the shark in JAWS...
HR Gieger's ALIEN would have to be up there...PREDATOR looks cool too.
Jeff Goldblum as THE FLY astounds.
