You Know You're Getting Old When . . .

Age shall not weary us - or does it?
A mate said to me just the other day that his kids told him he was making the 'old man sound'.

"The old man sound?" I retorted.

"Yeah you know", he said - "when you get up out of a chair and you make that groaning sound, as if it's an effort just to make it to your feet."


Ouch - I thought to myself - don't I do that?

So - my more mature and knowledgable Orbleans - when do you know you're no longer as young as you think you are?

Ouch . . . been there done that.

Strangely though - it also seems to afflict the not so old.

Case in point - how is it that you can ask your kids to go 'now' and pick up their dirty clothes from the bathroom - only to have them tell me later 'They forgot".

haha well theres "selective memory" and then just plain old boring "short term memory loss" . . . im approaching 30 and i do it ALL the time, i shudder to think what ill be like when im 60!
